The occurrence of Cladina mediterranea and Cladonia bellidiflora, C. d
eformis, C. strepsilis and C. subcervicornis in Spain is substantiated
or they are reported from new provinces. The ecology and distribution
of C. dimorpha, C. luteoalba and C. prolifica are discussed. C. pulvi
nella reported as new to Europe. The aromatic compounds of each specie
s were identified by thin-layer chromatography.
