Vg. Koshechko et al., EFFECT OF DIFFERENT FACTORS ON ELECTROCHE MICALLY ACTIVATED INSERTIONOF CARBON-DIOXIDE IN ACYLCHLORIDES, Teoreticeskaa i eksperimental'naa himia, 34(1), 1998, pp. 1-5
The influence of electronic structure of reactants, the nature of supp
orting electrolyte, electrode's material, etc., on the processes of el
ectrochemical carboxylation of acylchlorides (CH3COCl, p-X-C6H4COCl, w
here X = CH3, H, NO2) on the yield of the corresponding alpha-oxoacids
has been studied. It has been shown that the factors leading to accel
eration of the cathodic reduction of acylchlorides or stabilization of
the electrosynthesis intermediates and products, result in increasing
oxoacid yields.
