Fourier transform and imaging properties of referenceless fractalogram
s are studied for the example of an aperture bounded by a Koch curve.
Peculiarities of the images reconstructed from such fractalograms are
investigated proceeding from Young's interpretation of diffraction phe
nomena. A registration zone of the comprehensive informativity of a re
ferenceless fractalogram is determined, and a multi-stage procedure fo
r pre-processing of a fractal-containing optical signal is briefly out
lined.
