R. Levwiesel, SPOUSES PERCEPTIONS OF EACH OTHERS COPING ABILITY WITH POSSIBLE STRESSFUL LIFE EVENTS AND MARITAL QUALITY, Contemporary family therapy, 20(2), 1998, pp. 211-220
This study examines the effect on marital quality of spouses' apprecia
tion of partner's coping ability with possible stressful life events.
Results show that while higher appreciation of partner's coping abilit
y contributes to marital quality in wives, only the extent of being th
reatened by stressful life events and sense of being needed by partner
for support when confronting with stressful life events contribute to
marital quality in husbands.
