Ethoxylated fatty alcohols can be characterized by two-dimensional chr omatography with LC under critical conditions as the first and size-ex clusion chromatography (SEC) as the second dimension. The dependence o f response factors on the chemical composition can be compensated by t wo different approaches. The results obtained are in good agreement. T he SEC calibrations for the individual homologous series showed consid erable differences, hence for each fraction the corresponding calibrat ion should be used.
