The electroconductivity of sodium pyrophosphate-based solid solutions
Na4-xP2-xExO7 (E = Cr, Mo, W) is studied. The maximum electroconductiv
ity (0.135 S cm(-1) at 700 degrees C) by sodium cations is displayed b
y chromium-containing electrolytes in the region where Na4P2O7 exists
in a high-temperature form. The effect of the size and electronegativi
ty of the modifying elements E on electric properties of these solid s
olutions is considered.
