Abstract
Cathodic processes during the electrosynthesis of niobium borides are studied. It is shown that continuous niobium boride coatings may be sy nthesized electrochemically in a kinetic mode. The electrolyte composi tion is selected and the process parameters are determined; these make it possible to produce both crystalline and X-ray-amorphous niobium b oride coatings 20 to 30 mu m thick.
