STUDIES OF SOME MIXED-LIGAND DERIVATIVES OF HYDROXO (AQUA) BIS(ACETOACETYLARYLAMIDO) LANTHANUM-(III) WITH 8-HYDROXYQUINOLINE 8-HYDROXYQUINOLINE-4-(PHENYL)SULFONAMIDES/

Some new mixed-ligand complexes of lanthanum(III) of the composition [ La(A-A)(2)(LC)], where (A-A)H = acetoacetanilide, o-acetoacetotoluidid e or o-acetoacetanisidide and (LL)H = 8-hydroxyquinoline or 8-hydroxyq uinoline-4-(phenyl) sulphonamide. These mixed-ligand chelates have bee n obtained by the interaction of hydroxo (aqua) bis (acetoacetanilido) -, hydroxo (aqua) bis (o-acetoacetotoluidido)-, and hydroxo (aqua) bis (o-acetoacetanisidido)-lanthanum (III) with the said ligands. The met al chelates so obtained have been characterized by elemental analyses, electrical conductances, magnetic measurements, electronic and infrar ed spectral studies. An octahedral structure has been proposed for the se complexes.
