Abstract
A magnetic study has been carried out on the transition metal intercal ated vanadyl phosphates M(VOPO4)(2).4H(2)O (M=Co2+, Ni2+), which conta in linear trimers of V=O-M-O=V between the layers. Ferromagnetic inter actions have been found to be mediated through these linear trimers. ( C) 1998 Academic Press.
