K. Yoshii et A. Nakamura, MAGNETIC STUDIES OF ORTHOTITANATE LN(1-X)ND(X)TIO(3) (LN = CE AND PR 0-LESS-THAN-OR-EQUAL-TO-X-LESS-THAN-OR-EQUAL-TO-1), Journal of solid state chemistry, 137(1), 1998, pp. 181-183
It was found that solid solutions Ln(1-x)Nd(x)TiO(3) (Ln = Ce and Pr)
with an orthorhombic perovskite structure exhibited a characteristic s
uspectibility peak phenomenon in their susceptibility-temperature (chi
-T) curves, similar to that for La1-xSmxTiO3 reported previously. Howe
ver, it was observed only in a region in which x was higher (0.5 less
than or equal to x) than in the latter system (0 < x < 0.3). Only in P
rTiO3 and Pr0.75Nd0.25TiO3 were remarkably asymmetric magnetization-fi
eld (M-H) curves observed at low temperatures. This suggests the exist
ence of metamagnetic or spin-flop type extremely slow relaxation proce
sses in Pr1-xNdxTiO3. (C) 1998 Academic Press.
