V. Marti et al., SIGNIFICANCE OF ANGIOGRAPHIC CORONARY DISSECTION AFTER CUTTING BALLOON ANGIOPLASTY, The American journal of cardiology, 81(11), 1998, pp. 1349
We studied 2 groups of patients with (n = 14) and without (n = 42) min
or coronary dissections following cutting balloon angioplasty. Patient
s with a minor dis section had a longer length of lesion, higher perce
ntage of stenosis, and greater acute gain after angioplasty; at 6-mont
h follow-up both groups had a similar net gain and restenosis rate, su
ggesting that minor dissection after cutting balloon angioplasty has n
o influence on restenosis.
