On the basis of 45 original determinations and generalization of the d
ata of previous studies, the peculiarities of sulfur isotopes in vario
us genetic types of sulfide metallization within the Yoko-Dovyren duni
te-troctolite-gabbroic massif are considered. The main attention is pa
id to the characteristics of the isotopes of industrially important su
lfide Cu-Ni ores of the Baikal Deposit and of the low-sulfide platinum
-metal metallization, for which isotopic data have been first obtained
. It has been established that the sulfides of the lower platiniferous
horizon are close in the average isotopic composition of sulfur to th
e Cu-Ni ores of the Baikal Deposit, which indicates the same, probably
, juvenile source of sulfur far these types of metallization. The grea
t delta(34)S variations within the platiniferous horizons are explaine
d by the isotopic fractionation caused by the SO2 removal at different
oxygen fugacities.
