No. Kozhevnikov, STRUCTURAL PECULIARITIES OF PRIOLKHONYE B Y THE ELECTRICAL SURVEY DATA (WEST TRANSBAIKALIA), Geologia i geofizika, 39(2), 1998, pp. 271-276
With the TEM sounding method, a subhorizontal zone more than 20 km in
length and 1-2.5 km in width with resistivities of <1 to few tens ohm-
m has been mapped at the Chernorud-Mukhor site and along the Maloe Sea
shore on the Priolkhonye area. This conductive zone is confined to th
e Primorsky fault in the northwest and to the Kuchulga fault in the so
utheast. The SP profile indicates:hat the conductive zone is made up o
f a graphite-bearing horizon of Upper Archean metamorphic rocks of the
Tazheran Formation. Since the horizon extends over a large area, it c
an be used as a key one in studying the geological structure of Priolk
honye. The data obtained by the TEM sounding method and SP survey show
that the faults of the northeastern striking divide the site rocks in
to several vertically displaced blocks. It may also be supposed that t
he site's tectonic features are determined not only by the narrow line
ar folds but also by the gently sloping lower-order syncline.
