Ea. Razvozzhaeva et al., GEOCHEMISTRY OF THE ORE-FORMING ELEMENTS IN THE CARBONACEOUS MATTER OF METASEDIMENTS FROM THE BAIKAL-PATOM HIGHLAND, Geohimia, (8), 1997, pp. 835-843
The trace-element distribution in the different fractions of the carbo
naceous matter from metapelites and metatuffsands of the Patom Group s
uggests that regional kyanite-sillimanite metamorphism resulted in the
secondary accumulation of some ore-forming and precious metals (Au, A
g, Cu, Zn, and, presumably, U and PGE) in the ICM of the greenschist m
etasediments and bitumen at the transition from the greenschist to epi
dote-amphibolite facies. The set of elements systematically enriched i
n the rocks is defined by their high affinity to GM and their low abil
ity to isomorphically scatter in silicates from high-temperature metam
orphic zones. Earlier, we established similar regularities for the CM
in shales of the Khamardaban low-pressure metamorphic complex.
