Abstract
Cyclodextrin glycosyltransferase enzyme from Bacillus circulans cataly zed the effective conversion of 4-thio-alpha-maltosyl fluoride into cy clo-alpha-(1-->4)-thiomalto -tetraoside, -pentaoside, -hexaoside and l inear hemithiomaltooligosaccharides. However, under the same condition s, C-maltosyl fluoride afforded only linear modified maltotetraose, ma ltohexaose and maltooctaose in moderate yield. (C) 1997 Elsevier Scien ce Ltd.
