In our report, we present first results of the investigation of the be
haviour of acoustic phonons at the phase transformation from the dynam
ically to statically disordered network of hydrogen bonds in the Cs5D3
(SO4)(4) . D2O (PCTS) crystal. Neutron scattering experiments at room
temperature were performed on a triple axis spectrometer. Dispersion o
f the TA phonon along the [00 xi] direction in a hexagonal phase was o
bserved. The temperature dependencies of the TA and mixed phonon branc
