Abstract
In the Laves hydride YMn2D4.3 we studied the interplay between H and M n sublattices by powder neutron diffraction. At ambient pressure we ob serve a first order magneto-structural transition, where both sublatti ces order simultaneously. An applied pressure decouples the structural and magnetic orders, which then occur at different temperatures. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
