Abstract
We briefly present measurements and analysis testing the experimental feasibility of recently discovered solutions of the dynamical phase pr oblem for specular reflection. Complex reflection amplitudes were extr acted from neutron reflectivities for an asymmetric Si-polymer film wi th metallic reference layers and from a symmetric polymer film without references. Scattering length density profiles for the films studied were obtained by inverting the measured amplitudes. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
