Abstract
The pickoff component of ortho-positronium decay in liquids is convent ionally described through the bubble model. However, the idealized pic ture of a sharp ''bubble'' radius is unsatisfactory. This leads to a m uch better description and enables a substantially improved simultaneo us fit to the lifetime data and the observed angular correlation of th e decay gamma's. We have tried to restrict the discussion to modificat ions that permit elegant analytic solutions.
