Abstract
Inorganic (Portland cement-based) and organic (polymer) grouts are pri marily used for base plate alignment and support of heavy machinery. I n some instances, they also are used as corrosion-protection connectin g media between steel clamps, sleeves, and tubular elements. In many o f these cases, the applications are subjected to increased temperature s during installation and operation. The compressive and shear propert ies have been evaluated to better predict performance of corrosion pro tection and connection applications at temperatures approaching the gl ass transition (Tg) temperature of commercially available polymer grou ts.
