Abstract
In order to find a way to prepare monomethylhydrazine using Raschig's synthesis in biphasic medium, the solid-liquid-vapour quaternary syste m CH3NH2-H2O-(CH3)(3)COCH3-NaOH has been investigated at 288 K. By add ition of NaOH to mixture CH3NH2-H2O-(CH3)(3)COCH3 three liquid phases are observed in ir first step, and an isothermal-isobaric four phase i nvariant equilibrium may be obtained (three liquids and one vapour).
