H. Eliasson et al., DIELECTRIC AND CONDUCTIVITY STUDIES OF A SILVER ION CONDUCTING POLYMER ELECTROLYTE, Electrochimica acta, 43(10-11), 1998, pp. 1459-1463
Dielectric and conductivity studies have been performed on poly(propyl
ene glycol) with a molecular weight of 4000 complexed with 0.01 to 6 m
ol% AgCF3SO3. The highest conductivity value at 70 degrees C, 8 x 10(-
5) S cm(-1) was obtained for 6 mol% AgCF3SO3. The equivalent conductiv
ity, Lambda, plotted against AgCF3SO3 concentration shows a:minimum an
d a maximum, similar to that found in other salt-poly(propylene glycol
) complexes. The dielectric relaxation studies reveal two loss peaks:
a primary peak which may be attributed to ion pairs and a secondary, l
ow intensity peak only visible at low salt concentrations, that is ass
umed to be due to a relaxation attributed to the polymer chain. (C) 19
