Abstract
The new sp. is described after 3 male from Melville Island. off the no rthern coast of Australia. Holotype male:Austraiia, Melville Island, T akamprimili Creek, Pickertaramoor, 11 degrees 46'S/130 degrees 53'E. 1 1-X-1996; deposited in Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territor y, Darwin. This is the first record of the genus for Australia.
