Spin-selective chemical reactions must be also magnetically-sensitive
ones. The susceptibility of the chemical reactions to magnetic interac
tions is the source of the two magnetic effects generations. The first
generation includes magnetic field effect, magnetic isotope effect an
d chemically induced dynamic nuclear polarisation. All these effects a
re included by the static (external or internal) magnetic fields. The
second generation effects are produced by external electromagnetic fie
lds acting on the chemically reacting spin systems.
