Abstract
This paper discusses the main principles of determining the total ozon e concentration in the atmosphere and the UV radiation by means of a n ew optical device-an automatic filter ozone meter-UV meter. The main f eatures of the design, the functional layout, the main technical chara cteristics of the device, and the features of its calibration when wor king with solar radiation and from the zenith of a clear or cloudy sky are presented.
