Abstract
This paper presents a project for creating a family of optical gas-ana lyzer-testers based on semiconductor optoisolators with multipath opti cal systems for monitoring impurity gases in the atmosphere with chara cteristic IR bands in the 2.7-4.7-mu m region. A methane tester that o perates in the region of the strong IR absorption band of methane near 3.3 mu m is proposed as the basic device. (C) 1998 The Optical Societ y of America.
