Abstract
A retrospective study of 277 cases of Lyme borreliosis recognized on c linical, epidemiological and serological datas has allowed to collect 147 observations of patients presenting neurological symptoms. These c omplications were present in 65.5% of the observations in the second s tage of the disease (131 cases). Peripheric nervous system was most co ncerned: meningoradiculitis (51 cases), peripheric neuropathy without meningitis (50 cases), cranial neuritis (40 cases). Central manifestat ions are less frequent (24 cases). Meningitis was observed in 63 patie nts, usually associated with neurological manifestations. During terti ary stage of the disease, neurological complications were present in 4 7% of the observations (16 cases). Central symptoms are the most frequ ent. Evolution under antibiotherapy is generally favourable during sec ond stage. In late phase, prognosis is less good, sequelae are possibl e despite antibiotherapy.
