Abstract
This article proposes a method whereby the cross-sectional area of mic rostrip antennas using superposed square patches is decreased while th e bandwidth is increased. he quarter-wavelength antenna principle is a pplied, however; the short circuits are located between two square sup erposed elements. The structure is completely metallic and does not in volve any dielectric, leading to an inexpensive and easy-to-construct antenna.
