Abstract
A polymorphic dinucleotide (CA) repeat sequence was isolated from a ge nomic clone containing the human calcitonin gene at 11p15.2-p15.1. Thi s polymorphism will be a useful marker in the genetic study of disorde rs affecting calcium metabolism including hyperparathyroidism, hypopar athyroidism, and osteoporosis.
