Abstract
A new lock detection algorithm for digital quadrature phase-shift keyi ng (QPSK) receiver is proposed. Analysis of the detector's output char acteristics is given and is verified by using computer simulation, Per formance degradation due to carrier jitter is also considered, Analyti c and simulation results show that the proposed algorithm is very usef ul as a lock detector in digital receivers because it has a good detec tion performance and simple structure.
