The experimental isomeric ratios for Mn-52mg, Y-86mg, Zr-87mg, Zr-89mg
, In-111mg, In-112mg, In-112mg, Pm-152mg, Eu-152m2ml, Ho-162mg, Ho-164
mg and Lu-178mg measured by the activation technique from different ta
rgets in (gamma, xnp) reactions (x less than or equal to 3) at the bre
msstrahlung end-point energy of 43 MeV are presented. The predictions
of calculations performed by means of compound nucleus particle evapor
ation and final gamma-deexcitation were critically discussed. The impo
rtance of inclusion in the calculations of nonequilibrium particle emi
ssion and an adequate gamma-decay mode of isomeric nuclei was consider
