Abstract
The structure of the Ho3Si4 compound is refined from X-ray single crys tal data. It is constituted of a stacking of CrB-type HoSi slabs and l acunary AlB2-type slabs. The characteristics of the AlB2 slab are rela ted to those observed in Yb3Si5. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science S.A.
