Abstract
The structure of trisodium (ethylenediaminetetraacetato)europate(II) c hloride heptahydrate, Na-3[Eu(C5H12N2O8)]Cl.7H(2)O is polymeric and th e Eu2+ cation is octacoordinate (six carboxyl oxygen atoms and two nit rogen atoms). The Eu-O distances are similar to those observed earlier . There are no water molecules in the coordination environment of Eu2. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science S.A.
