Abstract
The effects of the environment on glass fabric reinforced polyester an d vinylester composites immersed in distilled water. Tests were perfor med at a temperature of 70 degrees C with the materials exposed to 100 % relative humidity and 25% ultimate tensile strength. Changes in weig ht, ultimate strength and tensile modulus of different composites were measured over an eight-month period, and the effects of the environme nt on these parameters were assessed.
