Abstract
Native(TM) Tissue Harmonic Imaging is a new way of ultrasound image pr ocessing that addresses the difficult-to-image patient. By using a Gau ssian shaped transmit pulse it is possible to separate from the return ing echo the harmonic component without overlapping with fundamental r eflections. The improved image quality leads to higher diagnostic conf idence so that the use of further imaging modalitites is unnecessary.
