Abstract
New understanding of the protein structure of soy and the resulting ph ysiological effects on human health has increased the reasons for gene tically engineering soy to provide more helpful materials in the bean. At the same time that the protein is being studied, improvements in t he fatty acid ratios to provide specific lipids are also underway.
