Abstract
We describe two teen age mothers with Insulin Dependent Diabetes Melli tus who despite a good metabolic control gave birth to newborns with f eto-pathy (hypoglycemia, macrosomy and hypertrophyc cardiomyopathy) an d severe embriopathy (leftisomerism and duodenal stenosis), respective ly. We debate the role of maternal control. We underline the difficult y of managing diabetic pregnancy in teen-agers.
