Abstract
The mechanical properties of fascia lata in the form bf a sheet and as a tubulised structure have been determined. The stiffness of the shee t was 3.3 +/- 0.58 N/mm and the stiffness of the tube was 6.2 +/- 1.06 N/mm. The ultimate tensile strength of the tube was 35.7 +/- 14.1 N. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science Ltd.
