Yd. Berezin et al., EXPERIMENTAL AND THEORETICAL DETERMINATION OF THE TEMPERATURE-FIELD IN THE ZONE WHERE LIVER IS BEING CUT BY IR LASER-RADIATION, Journal of optical technology, 65(6), 1998, pp. 465-468
New data have been obtained concerning the features of the action of l
aser radiation on biological objects. The dependences of the temperatu
re distribution due to continuous radiation with wavelengths of 1.06 a
nd 1.32 mu m and pulsed-periodic radiation at 2.09 mu m on the surface
of liver tissue and at a depth of 3 mm have been experimentally and t
heoretically calculated (using Kubelka-Munk theory). The results of th
e action of combined 1.06- and 2.09-mu m radiation are discussed. A te
chnique is given for determining the zone of thermal destruction of th
e biological tissue adjacent to the laser wound. (C) 1998 The Optical
