Abstract
A novel iterative two-parameter algorithm for the design of diffractiv e optical elements (DOE) is discussed. The algorithm is obtained as a result of minimization of a criterion-functional which has the residua l term defined on a specified range of frequency plane, and a stabiliz ing term. The algorithm is shown to be the generalization of a number of familiar algorithms for designing DOEs. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science L td. All rights reserved.
