Abstract
The oldest known member of the family Meinertellidae from Lebanese amb er (Lower Cretaceous, 120-135 mill, years old) is described. The male specimen represents also the oldest bristletail which can be placed un questionably in the Machiloidea. Taxonomic and biogeographic aspects a re briefly discussed.
