Abstract
Densities rho are reported for {ethane-1,2-diol (1) + 2-methoxyethanol (2) + water (3)} at 19 temperatures ranging from T = (263.15 to 353.1 5)K on 36 ternaries of different mole fractions covering the whole mis cibility field 0 < x(1)/x(2)/x(3) < 1. The experimental data have been used to test some empirical equations expressing the functions rho = rho(T) and rho = rho(x(1), x(2), x(3)), and the excess molar volumes V -E have been derived and used to investigate the presence of three com ponent stable adducts in these mixtures.
