Vi. Itin et al., STRENGTH PROPERTIES OF POROUS PERMEABLE STOMATOLOGICAL MATERIALS BASED ON TITANIUM, Powder metallurgy and metal ceramics, 36(9-10), 1997, pp. 479-482
Sintering conditions for the fabrication of high strength, porous, per
meable, titanium-porous titanium composites were determined. The struc
ture and strength properties of porous permeable titanium after inward
growth of bone tissue for periods of 1, 3, and 6 months were investig
ated. The minimum time necessary for the growth of bone tissue into an
implant was determined.
