Abstract
V gamma V delta 2-encoded T-cell receptors crossreact with a variety o f nonpeptidic phosphoantigens derived from numerous infectious agents. The reactivities of V gamma 9V delta 2 T cells induced by different s timuli are controlled by receptors for major histocompatibility comple x class I molecules. These and other important areas of natural anti-i nfectious immunity were discussed at a recent workshop.
