D. Shur et al., A HIGH-PERVEANCE FERROELECTRIC CATHODE WITH A NARROWED ELECTRON-ENERGY SPREAD, Journal of physics. D, Applied physics, 31(11), 1998, pp. 1375-1382
A pulsed ferroelectric electron cathode with a current density of up t
o 45 A cm(-2) based on (Pb, La)(Zr, Ti)O-3 ceramic is presented. The e
xperimental set-up for the cathode triggering allowed us to achieve a
perveance of more than 65 mu P and an energy spread in the generated e
lectron beam as low as 100 eV (FWHM).
