Ams. Macedo, RANDOM-MATRIX APPROACH TO THE QUANTUM-TRANSPORT THEORY OF DISORDERED CONDUCTORS, Physical review. B, Condensed matter, 49(3), 1994, pp. 1858-1861
We show how high-order quantum peturbative corrections to transport pr
operties of disordered conductors can be systematically evaluated in t
he metallic regime by means of random transfer-matrix theory. Effects
of strong spin-orbit coupling and applied magnetic field are taken int
o acount. We obtain explicit expressions for the first, second, and th
ird cumulants of the conductance and shot-noise power. Formulas for th
e variance and third cumulant of an arbitrary linear statistic are obt
ained.
