An. Darinskii et Ga. Maugin, FEATURES OF ELASTIC-WAVE REFLECTION IN THE PIEZOELECTRIC - THIN SOLIDLAYER - PIEZOELECTRIC STRUCTURE, Acustica, 84(3), 1998, pp. 455-464
A study is made of the elastic (quasi) transverse wave reflection from
a thin anisotropic layer sandwiched between two piezoelectric crystal
s of 4mm or 6mm symmetry with axes 4 (6) parallel to the interface but
anti parallel to each other. It is shown that if the presence of the
layer causes the transformation of the purely inhomogeneous interfacia
l wave into the leaky wave, then the coefficients of plane wave conver
sion will suffer strong and abrupt changes in phases and magnitudes wi
thin some narrow interval of the incident angles corresponding to the
efficient resonant excitation of the leaky wave. Approximate expressio
ns describing the behavior of the coefficients of conversion under suc
h conditions are derived and analyzed.
