Abstract
A scheme addressing analytical quality in marine chemistry has been es tablished within the UK. The National Marine Analytical Quality Contro l (NMAQC) scheme is primarily intended to underpin the, co-ordinated N ational Monitoring Programme established in 1993/1994. In this paper w e review the progress of the scheme during its first 4 years of operat ion with respect to the determination of concentrations of organochlor ine compounds in aqueous samples, and relate performance in the exerci ses undertaken to date with the requirements of the NMP. The further d evelopment of the NMAQC scheme in respect of these determinands is als o discussed. Crown Copyright (C) 1998 Published by Elsevier Science Lt d. All rights resented.
