Two chiral nitronyl nitroxide substituted triazole derivatives have be
en synthesized and characterized. Through the introduction of an optic
ally pure substituent on the triazole moiety a discrimination over the
possible conformers of the molecules is observed in the solid state.
Syntheses, optical and magnet ic properties of the compounds as well a
s the crystal structure of one of them are reported.
