Abstract
Two new bismutho(III)polyrungstates Na-10[Bi2Ni2W20O70(H2O)(6)].26H(2) O (1) and Na-8 [Bi2W22O70(OH)(6)].31H(2)O (2) were prepared and studie d by X-ray diffraction. They are made of two type beta-B BiW9O33 units ; in each of them one W3O13 group is turned by 60 degrees. These units are connected by four octahedra. While BiW9O33 Octahedra have only on e terminal oxygen atom, two of those four connecting octahedra have tw o terminal oxygen atoms and the two others have three facial ligands, water molecules or hydroxide anions, i.e. NiO3(H2O)(3) for (1) and WO3 (OH)(3) for (2).
